Role Overview and Responsibilities

Will work collaboratively with manufacturing operations, project management to meet the strategic quality standards of the company and our customers. Working with the operations team will determine quality improvement parameters by identifying statistical methods, process and practice relevant to manufacturing process.



  • Develop and implement a rapid quality response process that will impress and build customer confidence.
  • Demonstated ability to effectively collaborate with manufacturing operations, project management & sales.
  • Develop KPI metrics and reports suitable for management review that clearly reflect the status of quality improvement, improvement actions required and status of improvements underway.
  • Provide statistical information for quality improvement by identifying testing methods and samples.
  • Ensure efficient working of all new product realeases in collaboration with project management, manufacturing operations, sales/marketing and management. 
  • Establish statistical reliability using best practice and modern techniques, such as mean time to failure reliabilty modeling, reliability demonstration tests.
  • Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing data: making recommendations.
  • Peform and/or direct all internal and external quality audits on behalf of the company.
  • Action and close all customer complaints wihtin established metrics. Review and monitor the disposition of all nonconformance reports.
  • Monitor and lead all QC activities tied to new and/or existing manufacturing projects.
  • Review quality inspection personnel qualifications and training requirements.


Qualifications, Skills and Attributes

  • Minimum 6 years QA experience with an automotive supplier in a manufacturing operations environment.
  • Demonstrated experience successfully leading quality improvement initiatives.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in the automotive electronics industry, ideally as QA lead engineer, senior automotive quality engineer, or quality engineering project manager.
  • Automotive acumen relative to automotive quality and reliability standards including IATF16949.
  • Experience leading and coordinating automotive customer audits.
  • Fluent in both Spanish & English language, both oral and written
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office and MS Project, ability to utlize company SAP IT system,
  • knowledge of MS Excel relative to QA statistical modeling and developing, interpolation, etc.
  • Agreeable to travel both domestically and internationally commensurate with customer and/or project needs.
  • University Degree with concentration in electrical, mechanical or industrial engineering.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the experience and professional decorum.
  • Innovative in ability to deal with conflicting demands for scarce resources, sorting out key priorties and critical actions, removing individual or team obstacles.
