TT Electronics opened its first production unit in Timisoara in 2012. Being a strategic investment for the TT Electronics corporation, we benefitted of further investments and currently have two plants in Timisoara, Transportation Sensing and Control ( TSC) and Integrated Manufacturing Services (IMS).
TSC produces a wide range of electronic components for the automotive industry, such as acceleration pedals, sensors (fluid temperature, level and pressure etc.), LED technology modules and electronic actuators.
In our IMS plant, we manufacture circuit boards for different market segments, modules with LED lighting and signaling and sensory devices.
TT Electronics Timisoara is ISO TS 16949, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 50001, OHSAS 18001 certified and we employ over 500 employees.
Deploy and motivate Engineering team to support the manufacturing activity, that is capable of manufacturing products or assemblies to the agreed specification and that comply with the appropriate quality systems and approvals.
Provide a service through the Engineering team that promotes our ability to introduce and project manage our customers’ products from design for manufacturing advice, through prototype assembly and volume production.
Carry out continuous reviews of the manufacturing processes, equipment, documentation and systems used to ensure that a cost effective service is being provided, ensuring that the department has a capacity to match the new and current business activities.
Prepare and manage the CAPEX program for the site.
Be an active member of any manufacturing initiatives that are being promoted or employed.
To liaise with Engineering functions in all sites to ensure a consistent approach is taken and best practice is implemented across the manufacturing site.
Make best use of information technology to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the Engineering Department.
To work with the team and other departments to achieve quality targets and objectives as defined by the Management team.
Work closely with sales to understand the service requirements from new customers.
To promote the awareness of customer requirements throughout the manufacturing site.
The Engineering Manager as part of the senior management team will, from time to time and only when practical, be requested to perform duties for the company that are perceived to match their skills and be of benefit to the company.
As a member of the Senior Management team the Engineering Manager must represent the Company to its customers and suppliers in an honest and positive manner.
The Engineering Manager must be proficient and experienced in human resource management as well as having a sound knowledge of the basic engineering concepts and an ability to recognise, propose and implement the latest manufacturing innovations and techniques to the benefit of himself, his team, his customers and the company.
