Our facility in Bedlington (north of Newcastle upon Tyne) incorporates two divisions; Sensors & Specialist Components and Power Electronics. Sensors & Specialist Components are leaders in high reliability, high performance and engineered electronic components. Power Electronics provide custom solutions for safety critical harsh environment applications, at Bedlington specialising in microcircuit production for the civil aircraft, space, and defence industries.

Role Overview and Responsibilities

  • Provide technical assistance to Development Engineers in the preparation and manufacture of samples and prototypes, ensuring a quick turnaround of parts
  • Interpret engineering specifications and drawings as necessary to manufacture prototypes
  • Carry out appropriate tests and inspections on prototype parts
  • Prepare test reports and process instructions
  • Collect data to assist in the creation of cost estimates and production routes and BOMs


Further responsibilities of the role will include;

  • Ink blend where required for thick film parts
  • Print and fire prototype thick film parts
  • Updating CRM software for NBOs as appropriate
  • First article inspection and reporting
  • Assisting the Development Engineers in new product development projects

Qualifications, Skills and Attributes

Minimum ONC qualified, preferably in Science or Engineering discipline. 

Minimum 1-2 years experience within a manufacturing environment. Knowledge of thick-film printing process would be advantageous

Organisation and demonstrable practical skills are key, alongside effective communication skills

Knowledge of Word and Excel essential. Experience of SAP and Salesforce would be advantageous.
