Our facility in Bedlington (north of Newcastle upon Tyne) incorporates two divisions; Sensors & Specialist Components and Power Electronics. Sensors & Specialist Components are leaders in high reliability, high performance and engineered electronic components. Power Electronics provide custom solutions for safety critical harsh environment applications, at Bedlington specialising in microcircuit production for the civil aircraft, space, and defence industries.

Role Overview and Responsibilities

Our business is customer led and we pride ourselves on technical capabilities to deliver customer needs. In this role you will demonstrate exceptional People management skills to supervise a team of operators on a rotating shift pattern, to deliver manufacturing output in priority order of Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost. 

 

Further duties will include;

  • Support high levels of employee engagement through strong communications and development of your team
  • Striving for zero harm by supporting a health and safety culture
  • Contribute to, and encourage teams involvement with lean and continuous improvement activities
  • Ensuring the team are equipped to deliver the manufacturing commitments regards output
  • Effective planning of processes and people including skills training

The successful candidate will have exceptional communication, organisation and planning skills. You will demonstrate a clear understanding of business priorities and thrive in a fast paced technical, process driven environment.  Your people approach will be fitting with our strategic priorities particularly around engagement and culture which is to build an environment of trust and respect whilst also delivering our customer needs and commitments.
