TT Electronics' plant in Kuantan, Malaysia, hosts the BI Technology business. We manufacture Magnetics components and supply for automotive, medical devices, industrial and defense components applications. We are seeking qualified and energetic candidates to join our team in Kuantan, Pahang as part of our growth plan.

Role Overview and Responsibilities

Introduction

 

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Operational Excellence Coordinator works with the other section leadership team to identify areas of improvements, creates projects and assign resources for projects. This position plans, develops, directs, coordinates and  drives cost out for the operations. The position manages and tracks the progress of projects. This position is required for a 6 months period.

 

There is no direct report to the position.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with all departments managers to identify potential process improvement projects.
  • One stop center for performance metrics, reporting and improvement targets for all projects such as LEAN, PIP, PPV, ICC, MRO, etc.
  • Drives culture change to instill focus on fact-based management practices, the use of LEAN, Kaizen and other problem solving methodologies.
  • Identifies or mitigates major COPQ (Cost Of Poor Quality) processes.
  • Together with MLPs to coach others on the technical tools of LEAN methodology.

Qualifications, Skills and Attributes

Core Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a discipline related to Industrial Engineering or Manufacturing/Production Engineering or Electrical/Electronic Engineering or Chemical Engineering.
  • 2 years of experience in a manufacturing or operations environment.

Desireable Skills and Experience

  • Highly motivated and detail oriented individual who is capable of setting and achieving goals with minimal supervision.
  • Team support skills, organizational skills, project management skills and the capability to communicate and influence others.
  • Ability to construct and publish clear and concise reports.
  • Experience in assisting in the development of plant / manufacturing line layouts.
  • Personal computer applications proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Good interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Proficient in Bahasa Malaysia and English languages both written and spoken.
