    Our brand BI Technologies supplies magnetic components, potentiometers, trimmers, contacting and non-contacting automotive and industrial sensors and hybrid microelectronic assemblies to the world’s leading businesses.


    Our magnetic components portfolio includes both power and signal products, used for transportation and industrial applications and we have one of the industry’s most extensive lines of precision and trimming potentiometers, panel pots and tactile switches. We also design, develop and manufacture custom precision potentiometers and microelectronic assemblies for advanced sensing and control applications.

    Role Overview and Responsibilities


    The Product Line Director for (Variables/Position Sensing) is responsible for establishing the business growth strategy and managing business performance for the product portfolio. The incumbent will partner with Sales, Marketing, Applications Engineering, Operations, and Product Development to identify and drive global product line growth and profitability


    Key Responsibilities

    This product leadership role is responsible for the Growth and Profitability of the entire (Variables/Position Sensing) product line.

    • Key responsibilities include:
      • Product line business performance. 
      • Develop annual product line business plan (revenue and op income, and investment requirements)
      • Drive business execution to meet or exceed annual revenue and operating income targets 
      • Manage P&L by leading growth initiatives (NBOs) and controlling/managing costs (support, selling, R&D, etc.) 
      • Report business status in reviews and monthly reports 
      • Develop product portfolio growth strategy. Develop appropriate market initiatives which target high-value growth opportunities.
      • Plan and implement a three (to five) year product line growth plan - including investment requirements
      • Develop product line roadmap to drive revenue and market growth.
      • Provide guidance, strategies and support (product marketing) to Sales team to ensure sales objectives are met and support sales in development and management of appropriate sales channels
      • Conduct pricing and profitability analysis and implement initiatives to increase profitability
      • Establish and update distribution pricing books
      • Develop relationships with strategic customers.
      • Evaluate competition, customers, and opportunities as they relate to existing products and potential product development activities, defining product roadmaps for the business in order to achieve/exceed profitability and growth goals
      • Understand the market need and be able to adapt product portfolio to address these needs. Guide new product development, including product derivatives, product line extensions, and identification of new platform development opportunities
      • Work with Operations and Quality to optimize productivity, inventory, quality and delivery metrics.
      • Work with Operations to set service levels, MOQs, and on-going demand and supply plan.

    Qualifications, Skills and Attributes

    Core Requirements

    • 10 years product management experience (including P&L accountability)
    • 3-5 years experience developing strategic business plans
    • BS Engineering Field 
    • Travel (30%) including global travel
