Role Overview and Responsibilities

We’re recruiting for a Supplier Quality Engineer within Power and Hybrid based in Lutterworth. Power and Hybrid make high performance semiconductor solutions developed to operate in any environment. We are specialists in custom packaging and screening, servicing medical, space, aerospace, defence, automotive and industrial industries.


The ultimate purpose of the role is to build expertise through our people, processes and supply chain ensuring our customers receive product to the highest standard possible whilst driving continuous improvement throughout the organisation.


Areas of focus will include:


  • Management of internal and external communications for the resolution of Customer and Supplier quality concerns in a timely manner.
  • Ensure operational practices are in line with quality system and control plan requirements.
  • Monitor performance and supply data and feedback to the organization for the direction of continual improvement.
  • Report any quality concerns to the business to ensure the business is aware of any implications that may result
  • Manage any supplier quality concerns
  • Work collaboratively with customers and suppliers, promoting awareness of end customer requirements
  • Measurement, control and continuous development of key suppliers and subcontractors
  • Liaise with other internal departments on quality requirements within the supply chain

Qualifications, Skills and Attributes

The successful candidate will have strong coaching and communication skills with proven ability to build effective relationships and positively influence individuals at all levels. The ability to manage progress across multiple departments is vital to the success of this role. Your expertise will include the use of quality improvement tools, data yield analysis and techniques such as 8D, FMEA, SPC, MSA and mistake proving.


Previous Quality experience within the Automotive, Aerospace or components sector is a key requirement of the role. The successful candidate should also possess a HNC/BSC or equivalent experience in Electrical or Quality Related Disciplines
