Roxspur Measurement & Control Ltd (RM&C), based in Sheffield, became part of TT Electronics in July 2014. Our products include sensors, thermocouples, thermometers, transducers, transmitters, flowmeters and controllers. Our modern cell based manufacturing facilities are fully flexible for small and large batch runs, enabling us to provide short lead times even for customized products The in-house manufacturing and testing is backed up by our own UKAS accredited laboratory for pressure, temperature, flow and electrical parameters. A team of field-based engineers also provide a full calibration, maintenance and repair service throughout Europe.

Role Overview and Responsibilities

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Customer Service Apprentice. 


Reporting to the Customer Service Manager and as part of the Customer Service Team you will liaise with internal and external customers to ensure we provide excellent customer service at all times.

The successful candidate will work towards a Business Administration Apprenticeship.


Tasks will include:

  • Entry of customer orders
  • Keeping customers updated on the progress of their orders
  • Filing and general administration
  • Reception duties
  • Sorting incoming/ arranging outgoing post
  • Logging of complaints/ returns
  • Responding to any queries in a timely manner/ passing technical queries on to the relevant person within the business
  • Working closely with accounts departments to resolve payment queries and set up new accounts
  • Taking card payments over the phone and issuing invoices
  • Liaising with all internal departments to ensure that actions/projects raised are communicated correctly and dealt with in a timely manner
  • Create export documentation
  • Updating the CRM and MRP systems

Qualifications, Skills and Attributes

We are looking for someone with the following personal qualities:

  • Good communication and inter-personal skills

Knowledge & Experience

  • 4 x GCSE Grade A*-C or numerical equivalents in English and Maths
  • Good basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Power point advantageous
  • Full training and support will be given to the right candidate

Working Hours, Compensation and Benefits

  • 39 hours per week.
  • 8:30-17:00 Mon-Thu; 8:30-16:00 Fridays 
  • Salary: £4.45 per hour, resulting in £9025 per annum.
