This role is based at our Barnstaple location, part of the Power Electronics division, where we employ approximately 250 employees and specialise in the manufacture of wound components, printed-circuit board assemblies, cabinet wiring and electronic test equipment for the civil aircraft, space, and defence industries.

Role Overview and Responsibilities

We are currently recruiting for a Quality Engineer for Aero Stanrew.

 

The successful applicant will have experience as a Quality Engineer in a manufacturing organisation and will assist the Quality Manager in maintaining ISO and aerospace standards whilst maintaining internal controls to meet our business objectives and ensuring we get the job done well.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing Quality Assurance support for company-wide improvement initiatives
  • Raising and leading Problem Solving Reports with teams from all departments including, Operations, Production, Engineering and Management, structured to recognised industry techniques
  • Liaising with customers and suppliers regarding matters on Quality, including supplier auditing
  • Compiling First Article Inspection Reports
  • Processing Permit applications
  • Conducting internal audits based on process auditing and the associated inputs and outputs
  • Assisting the Quality Department in maintaining and operating the Quality Management System

Qualifications, Skills and Attributes

To be successful you will be highly analytical, concise and accurate in the delivery of information.

 

You will have excellent communication, multi-tasking, organisation and planning skills along with the ability to work under pressure and to use your own initiative.

 

The ideal candidate will be looking for a role that offers career development and will already have or be working towards formal qualifications in Quality Engineering.


Previous experience of MS Office applications, particularly Excel and the standard ISO9001 to support the business is essential to this role.
