    Roxspur Measurement & Control Ltd (RM&C), based in Sheffield, became part of TT Electronics in July 2014. Our products include sensors, thermocouples, thermometers, transducers, transmitters, flowmeters and controllers. Our modern cell based manufacturing facilities are fully flexible for small and large batch runs, enabling us to provide short lead times even for customized products The in-house manufacturing and testing is backed up by our own UKAS accredited laboratory for pressure, temperature, flow and electrical parameters. A team of field-based engineers also provide a full calibration, maintenance and repair service throughout Europe.

    Role Overview and Responsibilities

    We are recruiting for an operative in the Machine Shop department. In this position the successful candidate will be responsible for manufacturing the company’s products, to meet production output targets and attain the high quality standards required with due regard to health and safety.



    Key Responsibilities

    • Deburr & clean components before moving components to various cells.
    • Administration of works orders
    • Cutting raw material into billets
    • Occasional van driving locally
    • Drilling & tapping of components
    • Control stock movement into various cells
    • Final visual inspection of components
    • Occasional machine minding
    • Would be advantage if able to read engineering drawings & use measuring equipment (i.e. Micrometers/Vernier calipers etc.)
    • Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures.
    • Actively participate in 5S programmes.

    Qualifications, Skills and Attributes

    The successful candidate will have manufacturing experience, a good record of attendance and team ethic, be able to work unsupervised once fully trained and have the confidence to raise suggestions and concerns to team leads and managers.
