    Role Overview and Responsibilities

    Introduction

    Our Optek Technology unit in Carrollton is seeking a part-time, paid intern from an accredited college/university to help support in day-to-day portfolio management for the Optoelectronics business unit. The duration of this role is expected to be 3-6 months and may be extended further dependent upon the individual's performance and the need for additional BU support. 

     

    Key Responsibilities

    This role will report directly into the Opto Global Product Line Director and will include the following role and responsibilities:

    • Generate product line attributes by part number to improve reporting and analysis
    • Generate product line attributes by part number to improve reporting and analysis
    • Create robust SDQA reporting and analysis - track volume, closed-won, and value
    • Develop cross-reference of competitive part numbers (JAN, FO, Discretes)
    • Create robust, automated volume pricing model with R-squared curve fit
    • Conduct general market research (applications, product segments, size, growth, needs, etc.)
    • Compile robust portfolio/product presentations and training slides
    • General competitive research and analysis - compile slide decks of key competitors
    • Compile database on product weights, dimensions, packaging quantities, etc. by part number
    • Research and catalog competitive market pricing by part number and quantity research and database generation
    • Download, manage, catalog data-sheets for competitive products

    Qualifications, Skills and Attributes

     Qualifications 

    • 4-year bachelor's degree in business or engineering desired
    • Proficient MS Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
    • Semiconductor and optoelectronics experience desired
