Our facility in Bedlington (north of Newcastle upon Tyne) incorporates two divisions; Sensors & Specialist Components and Power Electronics. Sensors & Specialist Components are leaders in high reliability, high performance and engineered electronic components. Power Electronics provide custom solutions for safety critical harsh environment applications, at Bedlington specialising in microcircuit production for the civil aircraft, space, and defence industries.

As part of our commitment to our Sensors & Specialist Component customers and recognised Quality Standards, we have an exciting opportunity for a Quality Engineer to join a talented Electronic Manufacturing Quality team.

The job will consist of the usual manufacturing quality engineer responsibilities such as auditing systems and processes for compliance and effectiveness, continuous improvement of our Quality Management System, meet and encourage our manufacturing teams to meet our company KPIs incorporating quality, participating in review meetings and updating documentation. In addition there’s a focus on continuous improvement as we go through significant change as an organisation and problem solving solutions through the use of Quality Improvement tools, trend analysis and techniques such as SPC, MSA, FMEA, 8D and Mistake Proofing.
Majority of this role will be spent in Bedlington, although on occasion there may be a requirement to visit customers, suppliers or training venues and may involve national or international travel.
