    Our office in Woking is the head office, conveniently located in Woking’s town centre. It’s a 3 minutes’ walk to the train station from where only 30 minutes to central London. Although we are a small office with around 30 people, we see many of our colleagues from across TT when they visit for meetings. Most of the roles in head office are Group roles with an international focus, supporting the TT facilities around the world or working with our stakeholders.

    Role Overview and Responsibilities



    Reporting to the Group Legal Counsel, for the right applicant, this role offers an excellent opportunity to make the transition to in-house legal counsel. You will work in a fast paced and supportive corporate environment, based in the head office of an ambitious FTSE listed company. You will be given responsibility for your own portfolio of work at an early stage. You will work closely with the business offering legal advice tailored to the commercial needs of our business. All this whilst developing your skills and gaining excellent experience of the full spectrum of legal challenges and opportunities which our business encounters.


    Key Responsibilities

    • Legal adviser to a FTSE listed UK Group
    • Part of a small centralised legal team
    • Significant autonomy in managing/delivering a wide and varied portfolio of legal work
    • Primary focus on securing protection of TT Electronics’ interests in:
      • Executing/managing contractual arrangements, including the negotiation, drafting and delivery of key commercial projects.
      • M&A transactions including negotiating purchase agreements and supporting related business integration activities.
    • Significant international dimension to the role, covering the UK, US, Mexico, China and Malaysia.


    Qualifications, Skills and Attributes

    Core Requirements

    • Qualified Solicitor (England and Wales), 2-4 years PQE
    • Training/Post-qualification experience with a high quality City/Regional law firm or in-house team
    • Responsibility for own caseload of work, with limited supervision
    • Commercial/contract law experience (including Supply Agreements;  Distribution Agreements; Contractual T&Cs; Licensing arrangements etc)
    • M&A experience (including share purchase agreements;  asset purchase agreements; joint venture agreements etc)

    Desireable Skills and Experience

    • In-house experience with an international business (directly employed or on secondment)
    • Experience of management of external counsel (particularly overseas)
    • Knowledge of/exposure to UK/international regulations
    • Knowledge of/exposure to the following areas of law: (a) litigation (b) IP protection/enforcement; and (c) data protection.
