    New Chapel Electronics Ltd, as part of TT Electronics, is a provider of back-shells, electrical harnessing systems and wiring solutions to the Defence and Aerospace Markets. We were established in 1978 in Fairford, Gloucestershire and today our team is almost 70 members strong.

    Role Overview and Responsibilities

    Introduction

    You will report to the Head of Machine Shop and ensure the day to day management and control of the Components Stores, all Vantage transactions and production processes are carried out to the best overall value to the Company.

     

    Key Responsibilities

    • Control of all IRC’s entering and leaving the Components Stores
    • Using Vantage/Vantage MES to carry out all the required transactions
    • Sending out and receiving in of all parts that require plating
    • Locating parts to their correct bin locations and completed parts to IRC’s that have been returned from sub-contractors
    • Booking in all overbuild from unplated job cards
    • Issuing stock material to IRC’s and Plating cards
    • Part Marking components at their pre assembly stage
    • Assembling components and processing IRC’s to Despatch/Inspection
    • Raising of Purchase Orders in the absence of the Inventory/Progress Controller
    • Ensuring that the glue and activator are within their use by date
    • Using Inspection thread gauges
    • Control of stock ie screws, nuts and bolts

    Qualifications, Skills and Attributes

    Core Requirements

    • Capable of working with minimum supervision and
    • To have general IT skills essential with a knowledge of Microsoft products (Excel, Word, Visio etc)
    • Willing to undertake specific training to support the duties and responsibilities detailed above
