  • Company Overview

Come and work with us the “TT Way” which means we do the right thing, bring out the best in each other, achieve more together, champion expertise and get the job done…well! With approximately 4800 colleagues we operate from 27 locations around the world. Building the expertise of our people is critical to the future success of our organisation.

TT Electronics is a global provider of engineered electronics. We collaborate with customers in the transportation, industrial, medical, and aerospace and defence markets, providing them with engineering expertise and support through a global network of specialists and world class facilities. As a responsible employer we encourage all our people to “give something back” by supporting the local communities in which we operate.

The London office is at 72 King William Street, London EC4N 7HR, and is a satellite office for our head office in Woking. The Head office is located in Woking’s town centre, just a 3 minute walk from the train station, and only 30 minutes from central London. Although Woking is a small office with around 30 people, we see many of our colleagues from across TT when they visit for meetings. Most of the roles in head office are Group roles with an international focus, supporting the TT facilities around the world or working with our stakeholders.

    Role Overview and Responsibilities

The proliferation of robotics and automation, medical diagnostics, electric vehicles and the growing number of electric aircraft are just some of the macro trends that are driving growth for our specialised electronic product solutions. Working primarily in our London office and frequently in our Head Office in Woking, this role will support the EVP Corporate Development and offers the successful candidate the opportunity to be a part of this growth trajectory by joining our high-energy team at TT Electronics.

The candidate will report directly to the EVP Corporate Development in the pursuit of M&A transactions and special projects related to growth and capital investment. The candidate will be a key hire in a growing Corporate Development function which has been charged with executing a corporate strategy centred on M&A consolidation.

TT’s recently completed acquisitions of Precision Inc. and Stadium Group plc demonstrate a continued commitment to M&A and a track record of executing attractive bolt-on transactions.

The role will involve working with both external stakeholders (bankers, consultants, target companies, partners) and internal partners (finance, commercial, operations, legal, tax, IT, HR) in order to originate and structure transactions, perform due diligence and valuation analysis, and ultimately support investment or disposal recommendations. The role involves exposure to senior leadership and company decision making.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Analyse and screen potential acquisition opportunities for commercial, financial and strategic merit, and actively manage TT’s M&A pipeline with internal stakeholders
    • Support proactive origination strategy by employing reverse coverage on target companies and segments, liaising with potential advisors, and contributing to market mapping exercises
    • Work closely with investment banks and internal finance teams to build financial models and to evaluate, challenge, and stress-test these models with robust scenarios and sensitivities
    • Work closely with internal partners in finance, commercial, operations, legal, tax, IT and HR to coordinate due diligence efforts, implement acquisition structures and mitigate identified risks
    • Perform financial analysis of peer companies and precedent transactions across relevant sub-sectors and geographies within TT’s strategic focus areas
    • Where applicable, support the business in financial analysis and recommendations associated with capital projects, joint ventures, partnerships or other development projects
    • Liaise with Investor Relations team to understand interpretation of potential M&A deals by the investment community and ensure that candidate deals meet corporate strategic priorities
    • Develop and maintain a strategic relationship management system and support relationship development with corporates, founder/entrepreneurs, advisors and consultants
    • Develop targeted marketing materials to clearly articulate TT’s offering to target companies and partners, and prepare bid documentation in M&A processes
