Our office in Woking is the head office, conveniently located in Woking’s town centre. It’s a 3 minutes’ walk to the train station from where only 30 minutes to central London. Although we are a small office with around 30 people, we see many of our colleagues from across TT when they visit for meetings. Most of the roles in head office are Group roles with an international focus, supporting the TT facilities around the world or working with our stakeholders.
Plans, organises, and manages TT’s IT services. This includes developing, maintaining, supporting, and optimising key functional areas, particularly, applications, network and server infrastructure, data communications, and telecommunications systems. The successful applicant will be proactive in gathering information on business demands and have a strong customer service focus.
People – Manages a team of c30 Field Services Specialists spread across UK, North America and Asia. As a member of the senior management team, there is a responsibility to provide a strong focus on people development and leadership, encouraging team members to develop new skills and supporting them in their personal development. This role is also responsible for managing a number of third-party IT service providers.
Projects – Works with project teams to identify technical requirements. Designs and delivers solutions in line with the needs of the project and the overall IT technical architecture. Ensures the successful delivery of technology products and services and puts in place metrics to confirm that these achieve business satisfaction. Ensures that all projects in their area have appropriate project governance.
Assets and technology – Responsible for the support and maintenance of IT assets. Contributes to the design and delivery of IT solution for the business. Maintains a roadmap for all assigned services ensuring they provide clear communication on future IT plans to the business. Ensures our IT assets and information are secure.
Processes and procedures – Provides strong governance by implementing appropriate IT processes and procedures (including Change, Incident, Starters and Leavers processes), while ensuring that the team is effectively utilising them.
Budget – Takes responsibility managing large IT contracts and any associated elements of capital spending. Consults with internal IT colleagues, business sponsors and external vendors on the costs of new solutions, always seeking to maximise business benefit. Engages with purchasing partners on vendor contract negotiations while working in partnership with internal IT colleagues to ‘sell’ the value of new technology offerings.
Engage resources from across the TT Electronics group as required and actively manage key stakeholder relationships within the business.
Develop the team’s capability to provide “business as usual” support to appropriate SLAs and plan for all future business requirements.
Drive towards a standard best practice process and common ways of working.
Build and maintain an overall roadmap identifying probable technical services needs and horizon projects ensuring business alignment with future IT projects.
Ensure that all new initiatives are delivered with agreed service levels and meaningful measures.
Ensure the timely and cost effective decommissioning of systems (hardware & software)
Manage technical services contracts, including engagement with procurement on renewals and changes.
Manage 3rd party and specialist contractor performance and build effective relationships to the longer term benefit of TT Electronics.
Provide technical expertise and leadership through all phases of a project.
Provide input to the generation and maintenance of TT Electronics IT strategy.

Leadership experience of working in a distributed manufacturing environment.
Experience of managing budgets in excess of £3m
Managing large geographically diverse teams of people
Qualifications and/or experience of working with IT frameworks such as ITIL & COBIT
