    This role is based at Aero Stanrew, our Barnstaple location; part of the Power Electronics division where we employ approximately 250 employees and specialise in the manufacture of wound components, printed-circuit board assemblies, cabinet wiring and electronic test equipment for the civil aircraft, space, and defence industries.

    Role Overview and Responsibilities

    We are recruiting for a stores person to join our team on a permanent, full time basis.

     

    The stores person forms part of the operations logistics team. The role will involve a high level of manual labour moving & lifting. A good eye for detail is required.

    The role will involve receiving parts from goods in & storing using our ERP system; these parts will later form kits which should be collated and distributed to the production areas. Additionally, parts/products require sending off-site so will need to be packed ready for shipment.

     

    Stocktakes are a regular function of the stores person; a full stocktake is carried out once per financial year, however continued stock levels need to be monitored at all times.

     

    The stores are located across several sites within the Aero Stanrew Business campus so the role will involve working in different areas as required.

     

    Key Responsibilities

    Be responsible for receiving and checking all deliveries from goods in
    Ensure all stock is stored in the correct manner
    Liaise with goods inwards, procurement, planning & production teams
    Report any job shortages
    Keep inventory management systems up to date
    Carry out regular stock takes
    Pick and deliver products using a forklift (If Qualified Training available)
    Organise and deliver goods from the stores to the relevant departments as required

    Qualifications, Skills and Attributes

    Core Requirements

    Excellent attention to detail; the ability to build strong relationships and communicate effectively at all levels; the ability to manage multiple projects and changing priorities while working effectively in a team environment; the ability to communicate clearly. Also required are good computer literacy skills with competency in using MSOffice suite and other software as necessary; active fork lift license is desirable but not essential.
