    Role Overview and Responsibilities

    Work Authorization – TT Electronics in Corpus Christi is an ITAR compliant facility requiring employees to hold citizenship and/or green card.

     

    Summary/Objective

    Provides the quality assurance support to the assigned factory areas to ensure the product is built in accordance with customer and company quality requirements while maintaining production flow

     

    Essential Functions

    • Participates in the review of design, manufacturing, test, and supplier documentation in ensure that company and a customer’s quality requirements are fulfilled
    • Devotes the major portion of his/her time in support of the operations assigned. Such support will include, but not be limited to: providing visual aids, statistical analysis of inspection results, serving as “referee” in making ‘accept’ or “reject” decisions
    • Conduct Quality Audits per ISO/IATF Standards – types of audits include but not limited to Process, QMS, and Supplier Quality.
    • Implement/Maintain MSA/SPC in the production line where deemed necessary by the quality manager. The quality engineers will using statistical tools to ensure process and measurement control.
    • Provides guidance and assistance in selection and implementation of statistical methods to improve overall quality in Sales, Production Control, and Purchasing, as well as assigned production areas
    • Reviews quality trends associated with assigned areas and participate in the development and implementation of defect-reduction programs. Once a defect is identified, assist in identifying the root causes of the problem and work with personnel of appropriate discipline to permanently correct the problem, including verification of effectiveness
    • Assists QA Manager with customer QA system audit visitations, vendor quality review visitations and responses to customer complaints
    • Writes quality test and inspection procedures. May also be asked to maintain and produce KPI metrics reports for the quality department and other various test/metric reporting’s.

    Qualifications, Skills and Attributes

    Required Education and Experience –

    • Knowledge/practical experience in mechanical and electrical engineering and some knowledge of chemistry and materials to participate in decisions related to ceramics, plastics, coating materials and processes
    • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Discipline
    • Quality Management Systems, MIL Standards, Corrective Actions, Automotive Experience, Audits, International Standards
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

    Preferred Education and Experience –

    • ISO9001 Quality Management certification
    • IATF 16949 Automotive Standard and Certification
    • Familiar with Statistical Software such as Minitab
    • Familiar with EQMS Software.
    • Minimum 3 years’ Quality experience in a similar role in a manufacturing environment
