    Role Overview and Responsibilities

    At TT Electronics in Bedlington (Newcastle), we work with customers across the aerospace, defence, medical and industrial sectors designing and producing high-reliability electronics to help them solve challenging problems around the world. You might have heard of some of our customers; Rolls Royce, Dyson, Honeywell, GE, Schneider Electric, BAE Systems and Siemens to name a few.


    As part of our commitment to our Power Electronics products and customers, we have an exciting opportunity for a Temp to Perm Quality Inspector to join a talented inspection team.

    To evaluate and report on product during manufacture (including RMI) and carry out release testing of finished goods in order to ensure that only good quality product is available for despatch to customers.


    Make sure that correct manufacture disciplines are maintained within the production facilities and goods-in


    Main Duties and Responsibilities


    Carry out sample visual inspection of product through manufacture (including designated product from suppliers and sub-contractors) and assess its suitability for acceptance.


    Generate quality reports and distribute accordingly whenever rejection of product is determined.


    Carry out specific release testing of product to internal or customer requirements.


    Issue results of release tests carried in order to determine acceptance/rejection of the product tested.


    Assist production in ascertaining acceptance/rejection criteria of product during manufacture.


    Create quality records for operations carried out within the QA function.


    Ensure that the correct disciplines are adhered to in accordance with relevant controls or product routings.


    Input product totals into the relevant databases in order to generate product yield and supplier performance information.

    Qualifications, Skills and Attributes

    Core Requirements

    Must have experience of working within a goods receiving inspection environment and have suitable experience of AS9100 or ISO9001:2015, electronic background is essential.


    Desireable Skills and Experience

    Effective communication, basic understanding of computer skills (preferably Word & Excel), good eyesight.
