    Role Overview and Responsibilities


    The Product Manager is responsible for establishing the business growth strategy and managing business performance for the product portfolio consisting of potentiometers, trimmers, position sensors, and electronic steering sensors. This product leadership role is responsible for the Growth and Profitability of the product family.



    Key Responsibilities

    • Product line business performance. 
      • Develop annual business plan (revenue/operating income and investment requirements)
      • Drive business execution to meet or exceed annual revenue and operating income targets 
      • Manage P&L by leading growth initiatives (NBOs) and controlling/managing costs (support, selling, R&D, etc.) 
      • Provide guidance, strategies and support to Sales team to ensure sales objectives are met
      • Report business status in reviews and monthly reports 
      • Work with Operations and Quality to maximize productivity, inventory, quality and delivery metrics through appropriate management and key initiatives
      • Update forecast and work with Operations/Supply Chain Management to manage on-going demand and supply plan
    • Develop product portfolio growth strategy. 
      • Plan and implement five year growth plan for product line, including investment requirements 
      • Evaluate competition, customers, and opportunities. 
      • Build relationships with strategic customers 
      • Develop appropriate market initiatives, targeting high-value growth opportunities
      • eUnderstand market requirements and develop product line roadmap to drive revenue and market growth.
      • Guide new product development, including product derivatives, product line extensions, and identification of new platform development opportunities
      • Drive product positioning strategies and develop relationships with key channel partners
      • Drive pricing strategy
      • Develop portfolio rationalization strategy 

    Qualifications, Skills and Attributes

    Core Requirements

    • 5+ years product management experience 
      • Bachelor of Science in Engineering Field 
      • MBA Preferred
      • Significant experience with distribution sales/positioning preferred.
      • Travel (30%) including global travel
