    TT Electronics’ Mexicali facility houses 65,000 square feet of office and advanced manufacturing. With a large workforce of 126 employees, this site operates in multiple shifts with cellular production lines and 13 production cells. This site is ISO9001 certified and manufactures an array of technologies including variable and fixed resistors, EPS sensors, and trimmers.

    Role Overview and Responsibilities


    The Planning Manager is responsible for Scheduling, Capacity Planning and On Time Delivery for a large, world-class manufacturer of aerospace, automotive, medical and electronics products.


    The Planning Manager is accountable for the execution of all policies, procedures, systems and tools in support of plant goals, objectives and key initiatives.


    Key Responsibilities

    • Responsible for leading the planning department to generate production plans based on customer orders and current inventory.   
    • Provides daily production meetings and provides information on the status of the material for shipping dates for customers.
    • Monitor, analyze and report plans against current activity and the variables to identify problems and plan, organize, direct and control activities related to obtaining the desired results.
    • Negotiate with production; give support to the departments and managers to rethink production in case of designing changes, materials in backlogs, etc. in support of the development of the company.
    • Track materials and finished product in transit to meet customer requirements.
    • Ensure the maintenance and capture of information in the production control system, MRP system, production, planning and warehouse to ensure proper distribution, planning and storage of the product.
    • Monitor key performance indicators and coordinate cross-functional teamwork to increase effectiveness in a supply chain initiative and initiate immediate actions in depleted situations.
    • Lead analysis projects to evaluate the accuracy and processes of the products, work with other departments to identify opportunities for improvement and lead activities to develop better.
    • Recommend modifications to the policies and procedures of the departments.

    Qualifications, Skills and Attributes

    This role requires extensive and proven knowledge in production processes and production planning, as well as supply chain management, along with strong skills and proven leadership qualities through a track record of achievements and successes with visible results.


    Furthermore, it is required to demonstrate:

    • Certification or training in APICS CPIM
    • Proven knowledge in manual and automatic production processes.
    • Practical knowledge and experience of SAP ERP systems should include production planning and material management.
    • Ability to demonstrate personal credibility through strong communication skills in Spanish and English and generate effective working relationships.
    • Analysis and problem solving skills
    • Able to work with personnel of higher levels in the generation of the production plan.
    • Must be recognized as a leader and drive change and continuous improvement.
