    TT Electronics’ Juarez facility is located on the border of Juarez, Mexico and El Paso, Texas, two blocks from the Zaragoza-Ysleta International Bridge. The site has been opened since 1978, with a total floor space of 118K SQFT in two buildings. The site has a wide portfolio of optoelectronic sensors fabrication, supporting several final product applications such as office, automotive, aerospace/defence, medical, industrial and communications. The site serves more than 100 direct customers and ships our products worldwide.

    Role Overview and Responsibilities


    TT Electronics Sensors & Specialist Components division is seeking an Operations Project Manager to ensure the timely completion of cross functional, priority projects. A successful candidate will effectively manage NPI transitions into the Factory as well as key initiatives & projects. We are searching for a person that demonstrates leadership in directing cross functional teams with Operations & Supply Chain knowledge & experience and a proven track record of satisfying development schedules and project budgets.



    • Cross functional management of key Project / Initiatives which may include:
      • NPI Transfers (new products into Factory)
      • Process Improvements
      • Inventory Control
      • Capital Equipment implementation management & expediting
      • Support of Quality Improvement projects
      • Manage interactions with external vendors, namely Contract Manufacturers
      • Supply Chain Improvement projects
      • Customer Interface for priority customers and associated projects (& escalations)
    • Lead cross functional project Planning:
      • Scope is adequately defined.
      • Assumptions, Dependencies, and Exclusions are documented and assessed.
      • Risk is assessed and mitigations are integrated into project plan.
      • Project resources are allocated and secured.
      • Project costs are baselined, and broken out by function and category.
      • Project schedule is baselined, by phase and deliverable.
      • Authorization of project
    • Implement project Monitor and Control:
      • Ensure communication & reporting to stakeholders
      • Make sure Reviews are implemented and adequate to mitigate risk.
      • Monitor cost and schedule baseline versus plan (continuously).
      • Focus team activities on the output of defined project scope.
      • Dynamically address changes, versus plan and management of risk. Communicate and address changes in a proactive manner at the appropriate stakeholder level.
    • Effective project Closure:
      • Close out of project resource allocations and systems.
      • Lessons learned documentation and proper stakeholder communication.
    • NPI Transfer from Design to Manufacturing:
      • Ensure valid design package from Design team is available and verified.
      • Facilitate cross functional interactions to ensure success.
      • Manage transfer and ensure an effective launch and ramp.
      • Confirm manufacturing and, if applicable, customer validation of product.
    • Development & Execution of Initiatives to drive improved operational efficiency and effectiveness:
      • Arrange and lead team meetings, as needed, to track and document cross functional progress, risks & plans.
      • Maintain close engagement with cross-functional team and proactively updates plans and strategies to achieve business goals and objectives.
    • Project Team Management on day-to-day basis, including mentoring, coaching, rewarding and calibrating.

    Qualifications, Skills and Attributes

    Minimum Qualifications

    • 8 years Operations experience, with 3 years in Program or Project Management.
    • Experience in NPI Transfer (new products into Operations).
    • Proven track record in program / project management, resulting in the successful introduction of new products and services to the market.
    • Strong interpersonal and mentoring skills, ability to influence and lead a team indirectly.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • First-rate presentation skills (confident in presenting, and communicating to management and customers).
    • Bi-Lingual: Spanish and English

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Proficient in Microsoft Project, Excel, Power Point and Word.
    • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
    • Supply Chain and/or Operations training and certifications (for example, APICs course and/or certifications)
    • Working familiarity with one or more production product qualification processes (NPD / NPI processes including formal Gate Reviews) and/or product life cycle processes.
    • Ability to motivate employees to demonstrate a sense of urgency, in a matrix organization (without functional authority).
    • Proven experience in risk management. Management of risk across functions and through NPD process, including NPI transfer (from Design to Manufacturing).
    • Thorough familiarity with Industrial technology products, markets, and customers. Optical Components (LED’s, Receive elements, associated packaging, etc.) and/or Magnetic Components a plus.
    • Fluency of processes to qualify / validate technology products.
    • Experience in technology manufacturing, including manufacturing test (OEM or CM).
    • Subcontractor management of Outsources Services and/or Contract Manufacturers.
    • Ability to travel, including internationally, approximately 35% of the time.
