    TT Electronics’ Bedlington facility north of Newcastle upon Tyne is the home of two TT Electronics divisions; Sensors & Specialist Components and Power Electronics. Sensors & Specialist Components are leaders in high reliability, high performance and engineered electronic components. Power Electronics provide custom power solutions for safety-critical applications in harsh environments. The team in Bedlington specialises in microcircuit production for the aerospace and defence industries.

    Role Overview and Responsibilities

    We have multiple temporary vacancies open for Production Operators within Resistors Business Unit, Bedlington, initially for a period of 3-6 months.

     

    In this position the successful candidate will be responsible for performing multiple manufacturing roles and will require the use of a microscope for inspection purposes.  You will effectively perform designated manufacturing processes and all allocated supporting tasks with responsibility to meet production output targets and attain the high quality standards required with due regard to health and safety.

     

    Reporting directly to the Production Supervisor/Team Leader, key duties and responsibilities will include:-

    • Various manufacturing roles that includes microscope inspection.
    • Comply with all company policies and procedures
    • Follow documented operator instructions effectively
    • Carry out work with due regard to the health and safety of yourself and others
    • Follow good housekeeping practices to 5.S. Standard.
    • Ensure that there are no production stoppages by using Kanban systems for material replenishment
    • Ensure records including SPC and Production Works Orders are accurate and up to date
    • Effectively communicate work related issues, improvement suggestions and cost saving ideas
    • Assume responsibility for the quality of your own work and to stop manufacturing if the product does not meet the required standard
    • Adopt a positive attitude towards new training needs including Company initiatives on working practices such as Quality Systems, Manufacturing Methods and Information Systems
    • Adopt a responsible approach to work including the need for flexibility in job changes, shift changes, and overtime requests

     

    Additional Information

     

    37 hours a week; 3 shift pattern including Earlies, Lates and Nightshift.
