Role Overview and Responsibilities

Introduction

To provide oversight and assurance on operational, subcontractor / supplier compliance and legislative requirements, focusing predominantly on safety and quality

 

Key Responsibilities

  1. Provide assurance and advice to Quality Director regarding operational & subcontractor / supplier performance.
  2. Conduct planned and systematic source inspections at poor performing supplier’s premises
  3. Perform incoming inspection activities as required
  4. Manage FAI Forecast and FAI plan to ensure all FAI activity is planned and coordinated with the Operations function
  5. Complete / Approve First Article Inspection Reports iaw AS9102 Rev B
  6. Act as the point of contact for customer and TT FAI queries and provide objective evidence of process capability
  7. Support Management of control of non-conforming parts and associated RCCA
  8. Conduct any audits as per the agreed audit plan and as required by business demands
  9. Identifying and diagnosing workmanship problems in Production processes using 5 why’s or similar method and leading CAPA activities.
  10. Control of counterfeit components prevention and detection
  11. Initiate RTV rejects and SCARS
  12. Authorities include:
  • Authoring and maintaining Quality Plans, CARS etc.
  • Accepting/rejecting non-conforming product (including supplied non-conforming product).
  • Proposing MRB (Material Review Board) candidates.
  • Accepting/Rejecting of FAI.
  • Authoring and closing of SCARS / CARS etc.

Qualifications, Skills and Attributes

Core Requirements

  1. Knowledge and experience of AS9102, AS9100 and AS9110
  2. IRCA Internal auditor (minimum)
  3. Familiar with IPC -610/620
  4. Quality Engineer in Manufacturing facility for electronics/electromechanical products
