Role Overview and Responsibilities

SummaryThe Manufacturing Technician will be responsible for assembling Printed Circuit Boards to customer prints and work instructions from Manufacturing Engineer.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:  Other duties may be assigned.

 

  • Determine tools and equipment to improve manufacturing
  • Follows ESD requirements of area
  • Is able to interpret assembly drawings and specifications
  • Has above average communication and interactive skills with production team members
  • Has above average knowledge of manufacturing principles and concepts
  • Effectively interface with engineering
  • Adhere to good organizational skills
  • Use computer programs and windows-based software (Word, Excel, Access)
  • Establish inventory control methods (shortage sheets and NCM process, work order system)
  • Build from assembly drawings and specifications to document assembly process
  • Incorporate mark-ups submitted by ME into manufacturing documentation packages
  • Develop processes for utilizing equipment, tooling, and fixtures
  • Evaluate non-conforming parts using geometric dimensioning and tolerancing
  • Maintain line purge and various other data charts
  • Develop and maintain data for routings, work orders, MRP, and labor accounting
  • Set up and program machines and equipment
  • Assist in process development for assembly processes
  • Develop and document rework methods and instructions
  • Perform training of operators and Team Leaders in specialized manufacturing techniques
  • Incorporate ECR changes into manufacturing documentation packages
  • Provide technical support for troubleshooting and repair of machines, equipment, tooling, and fixtures
  • Design and build jigs and fixtures to meet production requirements
  • Purchase tools, equipment, and spare parts
  • Establish SPC charts on machines and equipment
  • Participate in ECR review to identify impact to production floor

Training requirements: Team members will be required to attend various training classes to ensure adequate knowledge of company specific information, customer, regulatory, and other requirements as determined by job process, standard operating procedures or other elements as required.

 

Physical Demands: The physical demands are representative of those that must be met by Team Member to successfully perform of the essential functions of this job.  

Sedentary: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.

 

Constantly finger, do repetitive motions 90-100% of the time; frequently talk and hear 60-90% of the time; Occasionally walk, lift, grasp 30-60%; Rarely balance, crouch, reach 0-30% of the time.


Visual Acuity: The Team member is required to have close visual acuity to perform activities for operation of machines, including visual inspection, using measurement devices; and/or assembly of parts at distances close to the eyes. Ability
or increased ability to see color, or perceive color differences, under normal lighting conditions.

Work Environment: The Team member is subject to inside environmental conditions: Protection from weather conditions but not room temperature changes, there is sufficient noise to cause the worker to increase volume in order to be heard above ambient noise level.

The Team Member is required to work overtime on a constant basis.
