Our site in Perry, Ohio is part of the Global Manufacturing Solutions (GMS) business. We specialise in low volume, high mix electronics manufacturing for the aerospace, defense, industrial, and medical industries. We provide customers with tailored business solutions, global sourcing and logistics.

Role Overview and Responsibilities

Position Summary:  This position is responsible for full life cycle recruitment and serves as an expert to the business in all phases of the hiring process.  This role fosters and cultivates relationships with key candidates and hiring managers.  The ideal candidate is comfortable managing multiple projects as needed with conflicting priorities, has strong problem-solving skills, and is highly motivated.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Source candidates using a variety of search methods to build a robust candidate pipeline
  • Screen candidates by reviewing resumes and job applications, and performing phone screenings, conducting in-person interviews, assessments, etc.
  • Take ownership of candidate experience by designing and managing it
  • Develop job postings, job descriptions, and position requirements
  • Perform reference checks as need
  • Facilitate the offer process by extending the offer and negotiationg employment terms
  • Manage onboarding and new hire process
  • Stay abreast of recruiting trends and best practices
  • Manage the overall interview, selection, and closing process
  • Ensure all screening, hiring, and selection is done in accordance with employment laws and regulations
  • Other duties as needed

Qualifications, Skills and Attributes

Core Requirements

  • 2+ years of recruiting experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Proactive, results-driven individual 
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
  • Demonstrated ability to establish effective and cooperative working relationships built on trust
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Working knowledge of applicant tracking and HRIS systems
  • Ability to manage a wide range of relationships with a variety of stakeholders
  • Working knowledge of interview techniques and applicant screening methods
  • Deep understanding of employment laws and regulations
  • Familiar with a wide variety of sourcing avenues
  • Familiarity with job boards, and HR software, databases, and management systems
  • Proven experience conducting various types of interviews (i.e., phone, video, etc.)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

The ideal candidate will have:

 

  • Prior manufacturing experience in recruitment, with knowledge of screening, interviewing, and hiring practices. 
  • Will work closely with managers to gain a comprehensive understanding of the company’s hiring needs for each position, and meet competitive hiring goals and expectations
  • Manage the full recruiting lifecycle across a variety of open roles helping management find, hire, and retain quality talent
  • Grow and foster high-touch relationships with a database of qualified active and passive talent to pull from as new positions open up
  • Continuously partner with recruiting team and senior managers to design, refine, and implement innovative recruiting strategies
  • Stay active with current with job boards, social networks, and platforms to find talent, and plan, create, and release job descriptions and announcements
