Our Abercynon facility is located in the beautiful South Wales Valleys. As part of the Power Electronics division featuring the AB Connectors brand, we are a recognised market leader in the design and manufacture of connectors and electrical harness systems used in harsh environments for aerospace and defence, transportation and industrial industries. We employ 160 people and with over 50 years of history, TT Electronics plays a vital part in the Abercynon community. Our future looks brighter than ever, with new products being launched and a strong development roadmap to support our growth strategy.

Role Overview and Responsibilities

Introduction

An excellent opportunity has arisen to join our despatch team based in Abercynon as a Despatch Operator reporting to the Despatch Team Leader.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work to manufacturing standard operating procedures (SOP's)
  • Pick, pack and scan customer orders following the despatch packing list. 
  • Follow housekeeping rules and maintain a clean and tidy work area. 
  • Accurately complete a range of documentation and filing archive duties.
  • Lift products (often heavy) safely, following manual handling training. 

Qualifications, Skills and Attributes

Core Requirements

  • Basic computer skills - knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.
  • Flexibility is required as depending on workload you may be moved between other departments within the business. 
  • Required to work within a team and also independently to meet deadlines. 
  • Attention to detail is key and high level of accuracy to avoid any errors. 
  • Full clean UK driving license.
  • Ability to obtain Baseline Personal Security Standard clearance. 

 

Desireable Skills and Experience

  • Previous factory experience within a despatch or stores area desirable. However, not essential as full training will be provided. 
  • Opportunity to train and use company forklift truck. 

 

Hours of Work

  • Monday to Thursday - 7.30am to 4.00pm
  • Friday - 7.30am to 12.15pm
