TT Electronics’ Olathe, Kansas facility, is an industry-leading designer and manufacturer of custom magnetic products and assemblies. The Olathe-based site has 65 years’ experience in the design and development of unique harsh-environment solutions for mission-critical applications.

Role Overview and Responsibilities

Introduction

Maintain and distribute all documents necessary to define product configuration and control manufacturing processes to ensure conformance to both customer and company requirements.  This position will maintain and retain documents, records, and computer databases as required for documentation control purposes, as well as coordinate the Documentation Change Order process to ensure all users have the latest controlled version of appropriate documentation.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Adherence to company policies, QMS, and any other special job requirements.
  • Presents a positive company image to customers, employees, suppliers, and the general public.
  • Drives and communicates across departments to assist with Program Management, Quality and Engineering activities.
  • Coordinates the Document Change Order (DCO) system and database, including: maintaining change log, reviewing documents for accuracy and compliance to company's procedures, routing DCOs for approval, and completing the signed DCOs related to BOM, Manufacturing process, CAD drawings, etc.
  • Assists employees with document retrieval and documentation issuance, access, change and storage of documentation/records, as requested.
  • Maintains the BOM, Manufacturing processes, and finished goods part number system.
  • Creates or modifies CAD drawings, as necessary.
  • Participate in program management activities such as order entry into ERP system, audit support and project folder management.
  • Identifies and escalates process deficiencies.
  • Tracks all tasks independently.
  • Adheres to schedules and deadlines.
  • Performs AS9100 internal audits as a member of the QMS team.
  • Assists with shipping and receiving.
  • Other duties as required or assigned.

Qualifications, Skills and Attributes

Core Requirements

  • GED or High School diploma preferred, but not required.
  • Must possess a good understanding of ISO and AS9100 requirements, quality audits, and corrective actions.
  • Experience with quickly identifying a problem in order to either solve or escalate.
  • Possess the ability to analyze data to identify cost/productivity improvements.
  • Work effectively across cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with auditors and internal functional groups.
  • Well organized and strong time management.
  • Possess the ability to communicate with all levels of employees.
  • Must be a self-starter.
  • Possess strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • This position requires use of information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).  All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR.  ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e.,"Green Card Holder"), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

Desireable Skills and Experience

  • One year experience in Document Control role or related position preferred.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems preferred.
