Role Overview and Responsibilities

Job Summary

Responsible for supplier management process.  Ensure suppliers meet all material specifications and certification requirements, while also ensuring the integrity of the material’s source.  First point of contact for resolving any issues encountered with either documentation or material.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Intense collaboration with Suppliers, Purchasing, Quality and Stockroom teams.
  • Audits supplier documents to specifications detailed in our Quality Management System.  Ensure all military, industry, government, regulatory, and other requirements are met in the form of accompanying documentation, First Article Inspection reports, samples, certificates of analysis and others.  Detect potential counterfeit material.
  • Evaluate and verify purchase order requirements have been accounted for and met regarding material requirements, special processes, or other special flow-down requirements.
  • Confirms the functional and dimensional conformance of incoming products meets both customer and TT Electronics requirements.  In addition, visually examine incoming products for material surface defects, such as cracks or plating issues.
  • Communicate with suppliers via e-mail, phone, or in-person to quickly problem-solve and resolve issues.
  • Uses a variety of work-related equipment, including but not limited to the following:  calipers, micrometers, scales, metal rules, optical comparator, and Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM).
  • Ability to lift 30 pounds.
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned.

Qualifications, Skills and Attributes

Qualifications

  • Two (2) to three (3) years’ experience in Quality and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Demonstrated conceptual thinking skills and negotiation/conflict management skills are required.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, solve problems and establish work priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills to interact with people at all levels and function inside and outside are required. Ability to represent TT Electronics well when resolving issues with our suppliers.
  • Ability to read/interpret drawings, schematics, and technical specifications.
  • Computer proficiency, specifically intermediate level knowledge of Microsoft Office, is strongly preferred.
  • Proficient in technical writing, good documentation skills, and attention to detail are strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of working requirements of AS9100 quality standards strongly preferred.
  • Meets vision requirements specified by quality management system.
  • This position requires use of information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR.  ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e., “Green Card Holder”), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
