Introduction
This position is responsible for designing and debugging complex, state-of-the-art power supplies, creating technical proposals in support of customer quote activities and leading technical innovation within the organization.

Key Responsibilities
· Design power conversion circuitry potentially utilizing any standard power conversion topology (non-isolated and isolated). |
· Utilize power conversion simulation programs like SIMPLIS, Saber or SPICE to model converter design performance. |
· Utilize analysis tools like MathCAD or MATLAB to assess electrical design robustness of power circuitry. |
· Guide Electronic Computer-Aided Design (ECAD) personnel through layout of power circuitry and technical drawing creation. |
· Perform high level thermal analyses of critical power components. |
· Design power converters to meet a set of requirements and schedule, sometimes defining them. |
· Present reviews of technical data to program leadership and technical staff. |
· Act as a liaison between program and functional management. |
· Design power conversion circuitry potentially utilizing any standard power conversion topology (non-isolated and isolated). |
· Utilize power conversion simulation programs like SIMPLIS, Saber or SPICE to model converter design performance. |
Core Requirements
· Electrical Engineering Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited University with 10+ years of experience |
· BS and 10 years of experience or MS and 6 years of experience or PhD and 4 years of experience |
Desireable Skills and Experience
· Must have professional design, analysis, and test experience with linear converters, and numerous isolated and non-isolated switching power supply topologies |
· Must have professional experience using SPICE and other circuit simulation tools |
· Must have professional experience with analysis tools such as Mathcad |
· Must have professional experience with guiding ECAD folks through layout (power focus) |
· Must be able to design to meet concerns of adjacent disciplines, such as thermal, structural, mechanical, reliability, and quality |
· Must have professional experience with taking, analyzing, and correcting Bode plots |
· Experience with performing circuit card assembly-level power architecture trades, including power converter specification development experience |
· Design experience with voltages > 400V and/or power > 10kW · This position requires use of information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
