Role Overview and Responsibilities

 

Summary: Test technicians will ensure that electronic PCB’s are operational.  Capable of performing testing, analysis, troubleshooting, rework and repair of electronic circuit boards, as necessary.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret schematics, drawing and prints related to assigned electronic circuit boards.
  • Complete test equipment setup and demonstrate knowledge of analog and digital testing equipment.
  • Operate functional test sets: ICT and HASS systems and complete documentation for required test reports.
  • Identify and operate electronic test equipment, to include (DMM, power supply, oscilloscope, etc.)
  • Follow test procedures and recognize electronic values, such as volts, amps, ohms, farads while documenting proper test failures.
  • Test, troubleshoot, rework and repair assigned assemblies.
  • Handle unsupervised tasks and prioritize workload to effectively to meet delivery schedules.
  • Use proper circuit board and material handling practices to prevent damage.
  • You must Certify in IPC and J-STD-001 industry standard workmanship specifications for soldered electronic assemblies.

  • Solder experience is required. 

 

Prerequisites:  Electronics vocational or certificate training program and a minimum 2 years of experience; OR, 2 years of proven experience.
