Introduction

The Senior Systems Engineer develops requirements, produces detailed designs, qualifies, documents, and develops test equipment, etc., for products,a nd helps establish production protocols.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and drive the development and functional integration of the digital controlled power converters.
• Decompose system design requirements into engineering requirements and specifications to meet system quality and readiness standards.
• Maintain traceability of engineering requirements and functions.
• Develop and review system verification and validation plans.
• Identify system failure modes and effects.
• Partner with system architects to determine mitigation strategies to comply with functional safety guidelines.
• Present designs and validation results to a group of diverse set of engineers including electrical, mechanical, manifesting and others.
• Other duties as required and assigned.

Core Requirements

• Must posses project management skills with strong leadership abilities.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents.
• Ability to write scientific documents where required with test results obtained from component qualification or unit level tests.
• Ability to use Internet/intranet, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint), and other software programs and packages to their potential to provide a work product fitting to the level of the position.
• Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations.
• Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution ,determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Desireable Skills and Experience

• BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or Systems Engineering.
• 3+ years industry experience implementing complex, safety-critical systems.
• Experience in utilizing a variety of electronic test and analysis equipment such as oscilloscopes, digital and analog meters, signal generators, spectrum analyzers and network analysis instruments.
• Experience in testing and troubleshooting breadboard and prototype assembles.
• Working experience with internal personnel and customs to identify the root cause of a failure int he system.
• Experience conducting internal failure analysis (electrical/performance issues) and flow-up or coordinate with out side labs and other resources as required.
