Role Overview and Responsibilities

 

Summary:   Maintain documentation control system per procedure.  This maintenance will be in the form of computer-based databases such as Excel and Word, as well as storage and distribution of printed material. Follow document control procedures to ensure compliance and use all applicable software and business processes to support TT Electronics.

   

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Input new part numbers and maintain them to latest print revisions and specifications in ERP system.
  • Update bills of materials to the latest Engineering Change Requests (ECRs)
  • Format bill of material into correct format with proper line numbers.
  • Create BOM’s via ERP system method and via upload files.
  • Format new part number descriptions per procedure.
  • Maintain Engineering Change Records in Quality Management System
  • Input quote information into Excel or Quote Win, depending on type of quote from customer prints, save in Excel quote directory, and distribute folders to Materials and Manufacturing Engineer with necessary prints for quoting.
  • Run BOM Health and Lifecycle Management Reports
  • Filing (Electronic and paper)
  • Review quotation package and collectively with engineering, documentation control, and materials develop a question/issue log, for communication/clarification with customer (Intermediate Level)
  • Open quotes in Sales Force databases.
  • Convert customer PCB files (typically CAM files) into a set format that will then be sent out to quote. (Intermediate Level)
  • Running standard weekly, monthly, quarterly reports and distribute  within the organization.
  • Maintain approved manufacturer part numbers for each TT Part Number as indicated by ECR process
  • Process routing method updates as dictated by manufacturing engineering, if applicable.

 

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Education/Experience/Credentials: High School Diploma; or two to four years related experience and /or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to read and understand assembly drawings and ability to identify electronic components a plus.
  • Language Ability: Excellent communication both written and verbal. Ability to read and analyze periodicals, business reports, correspondence and procedure manuals.  Ability to write business correspondence.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, and Team Members.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions.  The Individual must possess strong skills in grammar and proofreading.
  • Math Ability: Basic Math. Ability to calculate part counts and time estimates.
  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to collect data, solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.  Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.  Ability to maintain a professional and positive image in any situation using good judgment. 
  • Computer Skills: Some familiarity with the use of Excel software, Word, Databases, Internet browsers, E-mail, and business systems software.
  • Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
