Introduction

We are currently seeking a Production Support Operator to join our Machine Shop Team. This is a key role responsible for ensuring continuous machine operation through efficient material supply, machine support and high standards of housekeeping and safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain uninterrupted production by supplying machines with the correct bar stock and ensuring adequate lubrication levels. 
• Carry out machine changeovers to accomodate new materials and production requirements.
• Support general machine upkeep to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime. 
• Perform hourly quality checks with a high level of attention to detail to identify and resolve production issues within the production area. 
• Use basic engineering drawings to assist with inspection and quality verfication.
• Distribute materials efficiently across machines within the production area.
• Maintain excellent housekeeping standards in line with company expectations. 
• Work safely at all times, adhering to health and safety policies and procedures. 
• Collaborate effectively within a 3-shift team to achieve production targets across production area. 

Skills and Experience

• Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment (preferred).
• Basic understanding of engineering drawings (desirable).
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability. 
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to work a rotating 3 shift pattern.
