Typical projects will include delivery of new networks, virtual platforms, backup solutions, communication platforms, security solutions, M&A integrations, and any other assigned projects.  In terms of assets and technology – Is responsible for the design and delivery of new IT solutions for the business.  Contributes to the infrastructure solutions elements of the technology roadmaps.  Consistently evaluating new technologies in the marketplace to assess their suitability for use within TT.  Ensures our IT assets and information are secure.     Key Responsibilities  ·           Lead small project teams from across the IT department as required to ensure successful delivery of new technology projects.  ·           Actively manage key stakeholder relationships within the business to ensure site leadership teams understand the reasons for new technology deployments.·           Provide subject matter expertise as 3rd line support for assigned technologies.  Including coaching and developing others in the wider IT team and leading virtual teams in technologies.·           Build and maintain an overall roadmap identifying probable technical services needs for future IT projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for the management and development of a portfolio of suppliers from whom we by goods and services that are critical to our operations. Key Responsibilities- Responsible for maintaining assigned supplier relations by selecting suppliers and negotiating prices for material and/ or services required, ensuring procurement of nominated materials and services to agreed programmes by the most economic, timely and efficent means. - Analyse, negotiate and report supplier price changes. - Conduct periodic commodity surveys to obtain price comparisons; evaluate market trends to develop new services and create cost savings. - Select new and alternative sources of supply and in collaboration with technical staff select new and alternative materials and services providing technical and or commerical advantage to the company.- Ensure all purchasing requisitions and programmes are correct and reflect the current suppliers lead- times, keep management and user departments informed where changes threaten work programmes. - Identify potential problem areas and recommend changes.- Minimise the companys exposure with regard to MOQ's and price increases, obtaining the relevant authority levels.- Proactive liaison with other departments as necessary to forecast, plan to meet and to supply demand to relevant quality.- Administration and reporting as required.- Payment terms and negotiation, optimisation and management.- To identify & drive continuous improvements within the areas of control. - Control and minimise excess and cost/stock.- International trading issues/ imports/legal awareness.- Ensure compliance with company codes of conduct and Health & Safety.

IntroductionAn exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our company as Business Administration Apprentice based at our site in Abercynon, South Wales. About the roleYou will undertake a detailed training programme over 14-15months where you will work in various departments across our company such as, Sales, Purchasing, Planning, Finance and Human Resources. This programme will enable you to develop your Business Administration skill set and general knowledge of the company, its processes and how eat department supports these.  We are working with Coleg y Cymoedd who will provide each candidate with an assigned assessor for the duration of the training, and they will support you with completing either level 2 or level 3 Diploma in Business Administration.  You will be linked with your own dedicated mentor who will support you during your apprenticeship. The apprenticeship is 90% work based with 10% completed in college for end of unit assessments and Essential Skills lessons. Applicants MUST have achieved a minimum of 5 GCSE grades A* - C including Mathematics and English.
