Summary: The Accounting Manager is the go-to person for day-to-day questions related to accounting activities for the Perry TT Electronics site.  In this role, you will oversee, improve, and perform various accounting functions including but not limited to journal entries, general ledger reconciliations and maintenance of accounts, support month and year end close, coordinate, audit and tax preparation and general research.  Interfacing with the Financial Service Center, the Accounting Manager will ensure timely and accurate reporting of the financial position of the Perry site and ensure operating effectiveness of internal controls.   Duties/Responsibilities: - Oversight of Accounting and Ledger activities for the Cleveland operations. - Responsible for being the go-to contact for day-to-day operational questions related to general ledger (GL) balancing reporting. - Complete daily and weekly recurring tasks which include preparation and posting of GL entries, completing various GL account reconciliations, correcting GL exceptions, and generating various system reports. - Independently research and answer reconciling issues and service requests.- Conduct recurring reviews of AP. AR, Inventory & GL processes, including GL coding, accuracy of input and proper approvals, and monthly reviews including new vendors and file maintenance, overrides and other reports identified. - Support month end year end close processes to include preparation and posting of journal entries, completing various GL account reconciliations, variance analysis, GL reviews and other duties as assigned. - Contribute to and lead implementations and tests for internal control frameworks. - Serve as a contact point for annual audit and tax filings. - Support both internal and external reporting functions. - Recommend actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses. - Develops and utilizes decision support tools to pro-actively identify financial, operational, and business concerns and opportunities.
