We envisage the right person will use Finite Element Analysis to model and predict performance, particularly in geometries using a large air-gap. Power levels generally a few watts but occasionally a few kilowatts needs to be tackled; frequency ranges from DC to 1MHz.   The ideal person will also develop a sound knowledge of circuit design, especially in both precision analogue and power supply, as we are being approached more and more for a design of a complete system.   We have a small but effective team of mechanical designers and project managers and you would be working with them.
