Role Overview and Responsibilities

Job Summary

 

We are currently seeking an experienced Tester to join our Kansas City team. The Tester I is responsible for conducting tests, data collection, and component-level troubleshooting on low and medium-voltage systems for defense and aerospace products. Essential Functions
• Independently reads and understands prints (for example, finds the winding page and comprehends the different attributes of the winding).
• Understands the terminology, number line, and color code used in in the Testing department.
• Identifies and possesses a basic understanding of testing equipment.
• Understands how to determine causes of Direct Current Resistance (DCR) during the winding check.
• Sets up and operates various testing machinery with limited assistance (for example, Wayne-Kerr, HP 4191, HP 4274A, and Behlman).
• Conducts Turns/Phase testing on multiple components, using multiple methods, with minimal assistance.
• Possesses a thorough understanding of Ohm’s Law.
• Independently operates the Thermal Shock Chamber – Level 1.
• Understands and follows safety requirements.
• Performs other duties as required and assigned.
