About The Role:

This role supports the continuous growth of TT Electronics Fairford by ensuring that we purchase the right products at the right price in a timely fashion ensuring customer delivery schedules are met. 

What You Will Be Responsible For:

• Process and place purchase orders in a timely manner
• Work closely with the commercial team, Supply Chain Manager and buyer to ensure all deliveries are on time
• Ensure all transactional systems are kept up to date
• Work with buyer to carry out weekly stock checks for consumable parts and place orders where required
• Expedite purchase orders and acknowledgements
• Verify supplier acknowledgements and notify suppliers of any discrepancies
• Assist with supplier review meetings as required
• Support the Strategic Purchasing Team in Rogerstone in generating purchase price variance (PPV) reports in line with business requirements
• Monitor market pricing and identify areas of opportunity and cost savings whilst ensuring compliance with our standards and approvals and any customer specific requirements are flowed down through the supply chain including exports/imports and ITAR requirements;
• Build and maintain good working relationships with existing suppliers
• Work in line with control framework and to carry out annual reviews. Prepare all documents required for audits both internal and external
• Add, reduce and maintain Vendor Base in line with group targets

What We Look For:

Someone who has:

• Great attention to detail
• Advanced skills in excel and coMfortable with full suite of Microssoft Office products
• Previous experience in buying and expediting in a manufacturing environment

CIPS Qualification, or working towards is an advantage, as is previous Aerospace and Defence Sector knowledge.

Our Recruitment Process:

Initially we will reach out to you for an informal conversation about the role. This will allow you the opportunity to ask questions and find out more about TT, our site and our team. It will also give us the chance to learn more about you and your experience to date. At this point both parties have the opportunity to decide if they would like to continue with the process.

Formal Interviews will be held on site and include a tour of the facility.

Due to the specific projects TT Electronics Fairford Supports we are unable to sponsor work visas for this role. Candidates will be required to achieve Baseline Personnel Security Standard Clearance and hold UK or US citizenship.

Successful candidates will be required to undertake pre and during employment drug and alcohol testing.
