TT Electronics’ Minneapolis, Minnesota facility, is an industry-leading designer and manufacturer of custom and standard magnetic components and assemblies. The Minneapolis-based site has over 50 years of design experience and specializes in the creation of innovative and sophisticated solutions for solving customer magnetic technology needs. We use cutting-edge materials and state-of-the-art design technology to deliver products across a broad range of industries including renewable energy, medical device, aerospace/aviation/automotive, electronics, food processing, instrumentation, industrial control, telecommunications and HVAC applications.

Role Overview and Responsibilities

This position will lead our production lines in meeting efficiences, job set-up, training, work direction and providing feedback on performance improvement and reviews.

 

Hours: 5:00 - 3:00pm Monday - Thursday

  • Adherence to company policies, ISO and any other special job requirements
  • 100% proficiency of all Assembler 2 job duties and 80% or greater skills of level three assembler
  • Completes administrative tasks recording information related to assigned area and team
  • Reviews documentation for accuracy and completeness
  • Ensures Compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Ability to plan and organize to meet internal and external customer demans. Including scheduling and workload.  Prepares work schedule and assigns tasks as required.
  • Basic understanding of ISO/QMS requirements, quality audits & corrective action.
  • Performs set ups on production equipment in multiple areas
  • Identifies time constraints on part not meeting efficiencies
  • Identifies parts with material shortages and works with Mfg. Engineering to ensure BOM accuracy
  • Follows good housekeeping, cleaning, and maintenance procedures
  • Takes action with lean and continuous improvement activity
  • Serves as a resource for answers and providing supplies & materials for the team
  • Clearly communicates on quality expectations, and quality feedback. Improves scrap and monitors productivity and quality
  • Works independently and leads team with purpose. Ability to lead people, give work direction, influence, and motivate
  • Effective communication skills and ability to communicate company information to team members
  • Advocate of safe work practices. Participates and leads incident investigation and improvement activities.
  • Ability to build a cohesive team
  • Aids in the development of cross-training a multifunctional workforce
  • Ability to work with other departments as needed.  Backs up other line leads in their absence.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications, Skills and Attributes

  • Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent along with job specific training
  • Two years minimum of of relevant experience in manufacturing industries
  • Basic understanding of ISO requirements, quality audits and corrective action
  • Ability to effectively problem solve
  • Demonstrated ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language
  • Ability to carry out written, oral, or diagram form instructions
  • Attention to detail
  • Good hand dexterity and hand/eye coordination
  • Positive Attitude

  • Reliable with solid attendance
