Role Overview and Responsibilities

Introduction

An opportunity for a an apprenticeship to learn Credit Control, risk assessment and Credit Management in a fast paced manufacturing industry, reporting into the AR Supervisor within the FSC AR central team site based in Bedlington.

 

Key Responsibilities

To receive full training and mentoring to provide support and assistance to the FSC AR team to maintain all aspects of the Credit Control / Credit Management functions within the relating operating companies as required ensuring all targets are achieved to specified deadlines.
To assist daily collections and credit control as required.
To achieve full supported understanding of Credit Control and then to progress to Credit Management/Risk assessment

Qualifications, Skills and Attributes

Core Requirements

• Full training on all aspects of Credit Control and progression into risk assessment and credit management
• Daily processing of bank statements and cash receipts to customer accounts (as required)
• Maintenance of customer account block schedules (as applicable / required)
• Weekly production and maintenance of overdue reports (as required)
• Monthly production of period end reports and OTC
• Assist to produce the quarterly cash flow forecast and maintain/update throughout relating period
• Proactive chasing of debtors including the preparation of monthly chase letters, legal and terms notices. Escalation as necessary
• End of period closure and reconciliation EOP+1 (as required)
• Evaluate customer queries for reallocation / follow up / escalation
• Maintain and issue relating ‘Outstanding Query Report’ (as applicable / required)
• Production and issuance of customer account statements (as applicable / required)
• Ad hoc duties as requested

 

 

Desireable Skills and Experience

Must be numerate with good communication, keyboard and problem-solving skills. Ability to work well under pressure and within set time frames. Good attention to detail.

 

A to C grades GCSE English and Maths.
A basic understanding of French, Italian and/or German would be preferred but not essential.

 

Microsoft packages (preferred but not essential). All other training will be provided
