Role Overview and Responsibilities

  • Lead teams of new business pricing/quoting and customer service
  • Create best practices in customer relationship management
  • Oversees the initial screening and project approval for customer inquiries and quotes for new product opportunities and requotes
  • Assures contract terms for product and services meet both customer and company requirements in order to win or retain business. Coordinates the approval of amendments and/or contract extensions.  Advises appropriate personnel of domestic and international contractual rights and obligations.
  • Identify and implement improved new business quoting process
  • Oversees the analysis of customer order activity, participates in the review of revenue forecasts for key customer accounts and assures sales and margins are analyzed for appropriate follow up
  • Performs all HR related activities for the Customer Service and Sales Engineer team including but not limited to: hiring, performance management, training, team development, coaching, & recognition.
  • Identifies qualified sales opportunities with input from sales, engineering, and management
  • Supports marketing activities by occasionally attending trade shows and other marketing events.
  • Manages ISO processes related to: customer inquiry, quotes, order management, forecasts, & customer feedback
  • Serves as an internal ISO auditor and assists quality management rep to maintain overall Quality Management System effectiveness. Stays abreast of regulatory changes to ensure company compliance.
  • Other duties as required and/or assigned.

Qualifications, Skills and Attributes

  • Commitment to work with a hands-on approach in a team atmosphere.

  • Understand the big picture while diving into the details at the same time.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business or engineering
  • Minimum of 7-10 years’ experience in a sales, or customer service related area within medical device, defense, or aerospace manufacturing industry.
  • Internal and External customer care excellence mindset
  • Minimum of 3 years supervisory experience
  • Minimum of 1-year new business quoting or supply chain management
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong analytical and decision-making capabilities
  • Proficient in Microsoft office applications and ERP systems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven track record within Project Management
  • This position requires use of information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR.
