Introduction

The Electronic Assemblies Operator III is responsible for performing repetitive intermediate-level assembly work on low-volume, high-mix assembly lines to mass produce transformers and inductors.  This position can work independently within the team.

Key Responsibilities

• Carries out all duties of both an Electronics Assembler I and II.
• Performs and provides expertise with advance assembly work involving heavy/fine wires, fine lams, and complex assemblies inside shells/housings.
• Performs set-ups with different machines like stamping, banding, molding, and tape and reel.
• IPC 610 and/or IPC 620 certified and able to perform higher-level inspections using 10x or higher magnification.
• Operates and maintains complex winding machines.
• Performs transformer coil wire assembly.
• Performs complex gluing processes.
• Displays the highest level of quality standards.
• Trains other team members in various production activities, when required.
• Performs other duties as assigned or required.

• Possess an advanced understanding of the principles of Lean Manufacturing.
• Possess an advanced understanding of the principles of visual workplace management.
• Able to read and understand production drawings and work instructions.
• Able to work with chemicals.
• Good manual dexterity/ability to work with wire sizes 10 to 46 American Wire Gauge (AWG).
• Meets vision requirements specified by quality management system.
• The position is on the production floor and could involve sitting for a long period of time, but not limited to standing, walking, and lifting throughout the day.
• Lifts up to 25 pounds occasionally.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Qualifications and Experience

• GED or High School Diploma preferred but not required.
• A minimum of two years of employment with TT Electronics, or equivalent experience, is required.
• J-STD-001 D Soldering Certified.
• Soldering experience of one year is preferred.
• Prior experience with assembly in manufacturing is preferred.
• Inspection and training experience is preferred.
