Introduction

We require a skilled and motivated CNC Setter to join our Machine Shop Team, based at our site in Abercynon South Wales.

Key Responsibilities

• Set and operate CNC machines (including lathes and/ or milling machines).
• Interpret technical drawings and work instructions to ensure accurate machining.
• Select and install appropriate tools and fixtures.
• Perform quality checks and first off inspections to ensure product conformance. 
• Optimise machine settings for efficiency and accuracy.
• Monitor equipment performance and report issues proactively.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment in line with HSE standards.

Skills and Experience

• Porven experience as a CNC setter in a precision engineering environment.
• Strong understanding of machining processes and tool selection.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings. 
• Proven experience programming with Fanuc and Num controls; experience with Mazatrol is highly desirable.
• Good problem solving skills and attention to detail. 
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Our Recruitment Process

Initally we will reach out to you for an informal conversation about the role. This will allow you the opportunity to ask questions and find out more about TT, our site and our team. It will also give us the chance to learn more about you and your experience to date. At this point, both parties have the opportunity to decide if they would like to continue in the process.

Formal interviews will be held onsite and include a tour of the facility.

Due to specific projects that TT Electronics Abercynon supports, we are unable to sponsor work visas for this role. Candidates will be required to achieve Baseline Personal Security Standard Clearance and hold UK or US citizenship.

Successful candidates will be required to undertake pre and during employment drug and alcohol testing.
