Role Overview and Responsibilities

About The Role:

 

We are looking for an experienced and proactive Commercial Director to join our team. This is a senior-level role where you'll lead high profile commercial opportunities, working with our site ‘inside sales’ teams to drive sustainable financial growth by identifying, effectively positioning and successfully closing our momentum sales opportunities.

 

The ideal candidate has a proven track record of partnering with internal team members to implement an opportunity capture plan, developing new customer relationships, and closing momentum sales with a focus on continual gross margin, net promotor score (NPS) and ultimately order intake improvement.

 

What You Will Be Responsible For:

 

  • Collaborating with inside sales teams to identify and convert momentum opportunities, i.e. opportunities on existing programs with existing accounts.
  • Functional Excellence: Work closely with broader site stakeholders to successfully lead on critical momentum opportunities whilst coaching the inside sales teams on best practices.
  • Meeting and exceeding order intake targets on existing programs with existing customers.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers.
  • Ensure effective management, monitoring and reporting of momentum opportunities, using Salesforce as the single source of truth and the basis for forecasting of momentum order intake.
  • Work closely with internal teams and partners to develop solutions that meet customer needs.
  • Ensure sales meet financial requirements and company standards.
  • Grow gross margin, effectively assessing power dynamics and customer behaviour patterns and goals to increase margins and reduce cash cycles.
  • Manage forecasts, objectives, and targets, ensuring we meet our business growth goals.
  • Identify opportunities by partnering with marketing to gain insight and better identify customer needs.
  • Own and drive Salesforce (CRM) compliance to inform site revenue plans and ensure opportunities are prioritised and managed effectively.
  • Act as a point of escalation for critical commercial risks and opportunities on momentum sales.
  • Represent the company at trade shows and industry events to nurture effective relationships.
  • Report on progress, ensuring effective stakeholder management around key opportunities.
  • An ambassador and flag-bearer for the TT Brand, acting as a key figurehead in promoting our capability within the North America region.
  • Acting as the voice of the customer within TT Electronics, promoting the customer agenda.
  • Effective leadership and standardisation of approach in areas such as VoC, pricing and quoting.
