Role Overview and Responsibilities

Introduction

We require a number of Operators to join our Production Assembly teams on permanent basis.

The work we do requires care and attention to detail and being able to follow instructions is so important. We operate to high standards, and we need people who appreciate the importance of achieving and maintaining high standards in every aspect of their work.

We will provide the very best in training to support you and we will support your development and learning as you progress.

If you have worked in a factory environment that’s ideal, but a willingness to learn and be part of this team is most important.

Key Responsibilities

 

    • Work to Manufacturing Operating Procedures (SOP's) to manufacture complete cable harness assemblies. - Activities include but are not limited to measuring cable lengths, cable stripping, contact crimp and soldering

     

    • Referring to wiring drawings and documents to ensure contacts are correctly located in the connectors, heat shrinking of protective sleeves and installation of heat shrink boots
    • Run production processes as instructed whilst maintaining productivity and quality levels at the required standard
    • Carrying out inspections of your own work before passing to the next process to ensure quality remains at a high standard
    • Accurately complete documentation as required to record production & quality data
    • Follow housekeeping rules and maintain a clean and tidy work area – we pride ourselves on working towards being the best we can be.

Qualifications, Skills and Attributes

You will be required to work within a team but also unsupervised to meet deadlines. You will need to be flexible as depending on production volumes you may be moved between production departments. 

Ideally, the candidate will have previous factory experience. However, this is not essential as full training will be provided. Attention to detail is key and a high level of accuracy to avoid any errors. 

 

Hours of work

 

  • Monday to Thursday 7.30am to 4.00pm
  • Friday 7.30am to 12.15pm

Due to the specific projects TT Electronics, Abercynon, supports we are unable to sponsor work visas for this role. Candidates will be required to achieve Baseline Personal Security Standard Clearance and hold UK or US citizenship.

 

Successful candidates will be required to undertake and pass pre and during employment drug and alcohol testing.
