Located north of Newcastle upon Tyne, TT Electronics’ Bedlington facility is home to a specialist engineering team delivering microcircuit production and custom power electronics solutions for aerospace and defence, supporting safety-critical applications in harsh environments.
We are making big investments in our technology, equipment, and engineering capability and as part of this growth, we're looking for a Senior Design Engineer to play a key technical role within our Microelectronics business.
This role is suited to an engineer who wants real autonomy, with the freedom to innovate and make design decisions.
Reporting directly to the Chief Engineer, you'll work within a small team where autonomy and trust are fundamental. You'll:
Lead the design and development of high-performance power module products
Exercise technical authority in design decisions and introduce new approaches
Innovate to improve performance, reliability, and manufacturability
Own delivery within a rapid development lifecycle
Support a wide range of customers, working closely with Sales and Business Development to shape new products and secure future business opportunities
Demonstrate technical leadership and direction sustaining and improving existing product lines
With genuine decision-making authority and the opportunity to drive innovation, this role can evolve in line with your strengths and future career goals.
You'll bring:
Strong experience in power module design
A degree (or equivalent experience) in an engineering discipline
The confidence and capability to work independently, influence others, and own outcomes

On occasion, this role may require visits to customers or suppliers and may also involve foreign travel.
