Role Overview and Responsibilities

TT Electronics, Barnstaple is hiring a Customer Account Manager (CAM) to lead strategic customer relationships and deliver best-in-class customer experience across TT Electronics’ key accounts.

 

This role is accountable for end-to-end customer ownership post-award, ensuring alignment to customer needs, driving performance through KPIs, and enabling sustainable revenue growth and customer satisfaction.

 

The CAM acts as the primary interface between the customer and internal teams, ensuring delivery excellence, proactive communication, and long-term partnership development.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Own and manage assigned customer accounts as the primary point of contact, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and trust.
  • Lead regular customer reviews and align on priorities, risks, and forward plans.
  • Develop and execute account plans to drive retention, growth, and long-term strategic partnerships.
  • Manage delivery performance across the full customer lifecycle, ensuring alignment to customer expectations for quality, on-time delivery, and responsiveness.
  • Monitor and drive performance against KPIs, proactively identifying and mitigating risks to delivery and revenue.
  • Lead customer escalations, coordinating cross-functional teams to ensure timely resolution and clear communication.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Operations, Planning, Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality) to deliver consistent and reliable customer outcomes.
  • Provide clear visibility of demand, risks, and opportunities, supporting accurate forecasting and planning activities.
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives to enhance customer experience, communication, and operational performance.
  • Ensure alignment to customer requirements such as need-by-date commitments, service expectations, and revenue milestones.

Qualifications, Skills and Attributes

What we're looking for

 

  • Experience in Aerospace or a similar industry.
  • Extensive experience working in low volume, high product mix, build-to-print, and design to spec environments.
  • Demonstrable experience of effective negotiation and influencing skills.
  • The ability to thrive under pressure and deliver against deadlines.
  • A flexible approach and a willingness to undertake business travel.
  • Change management experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office applications, particularly Excel to support business reporting.
  • Experience in the use of ERP systems and the engagement of teams in these systems for basic business management.
  • The capability to lead a multi-functional team in a customer account management environment.
  • Experience in Import/Export compliance and management is not essential, but would enhance your application. 

Some UK travel may be required for this role.
