Role Overview and Responsibilities


Summary
Responsible for the maintenance, repair of manufacturing equipment and technical support to production team members in the absence of Engineering.  

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:  Other duties may be assigned.

 

  • Has good knowledge of all production equipment in the process area
  • Has good communication and interactive skills with production team members
  • Effectively interfaces with Engineering
  • Adheres to excellent organizational skills
  • Use computer programs and windows-based software (Word, Excel, Access)
  • Provide technical support or seek input from Engineering, Maintenance, other Technicians
  • Support all production team members to ensure maximum output of process equipment
  • Perform scheduled maintenance on all equipment in the process area
  • Update maintenance schedules as work is completed
  • Enter unscheduled maintenances into the maintenance/repair database
  • Maintain and monitor area charts and graphs
  • Train operators and recommend certifications per applicable Standard Operating Procedures
  • Work directly with the equipment manufacturer to resolve technical issues
  • Perform major rebuild and repair on all equipment in the process area
  • Provide creative solutions to resolve manufacturing issues
  • Work with Engineering to determine process capability and areas for improvement
  • Support Engineering in identifying solutions to production problems that reduce labor efficiency, increase scrap, and impact quality of product.
  • Support Engineering in generating and maintaining manufacturing and standard work instructions as required.
  • Perform program editing on all equipment in the process area
  • Order and maintain spare parts for all equipment in the process area
  • Interpret and implement ECRs in the absence of Engineering
  • Follow Receipt Handling Storage of Hazardous Materials Procedure/Hazardous Materials Training if applicable

Qualifications, Skills and Attributes

Qualifications: to perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education/Experience/Credentials: Associates Degree in Manufacturing Engineering Technology or Industrial Engineering Technology or minimum 2 years of experience in related functions described under Essential Duties.

 

Training requirements: Team members will be required to attend various training classes to ensure adequate knowledge of company specific information, customer, regulatory, and other requirements as determined by job process, standard operating procedures or other elements as required.

 

Physical Demands: The physical demands are representative of those that must be met by Team Member to successfully perform of the essential functions of this job.  

Sedentary: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.

 

Constantly finger, do repetitive motions 90-100% of the time; frequently talk and hear 60-90% of the time; Occasionally walk, lift, grasp 30-60%; Rarely balance, crouch, reach 0-30% of the time.


Visual Acuity: The Team member is required to have close visual acuity to perform activities for operation of machines, including visual inspection, using measurement devices; and/or assembly of parts at distances close to the eyes. Ability
or increased ability to see color, or perceive color differences, under normal lighting conditions.

 

Work Environment: The Team member is subject to inside environmental conditions: Protection from weather conditions but not room temperature changes, there is sufficient noise to cause the worker to increase volume in order to be heard above ambient noise level.

 

Safety is a core responsibility of this position. Team members are expected to perform all job duties in accordance with company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and established procedures. This includes wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE), participating in safety training, immediately reporting unsafe conditions or incidents, and stopping work when unsafe conditions exist. All employees are responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work environment and for actively contributing to the prevention of workplace injuries and accidents.

This position requires use of information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S.

The Team Member is required to work overtime as needed.

 

Location: 100 % onsite in Greater Cleveland, Ohio
