Role Overview and Responsibilities

Introduction

The Strategic Account Manager is responsible for the commercial ownership and growth of assigned customer accounts within TT Electronics’ business. This role acts as the primary advocate for the customer internally, ensuring alignment across global sites and functions to deliver on customer expectations while driving revenue growth, customer satisfaction, and operational performance.

The Strategic Account Manager operates in a highly matrixed, global environment and must influence cross-functional teams without direct authority, ensuring consistent execution and coordination across multiple manufacturing sites.

 

This position reports to the Executive Vice President, EMS Division

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Customer Ownership & Growth

  • Own the day-to-day commercial relationship for assigned accounts
  • Drive revenue growth through expansion of existing programs and identification of new opportunities
  • Develop and maintain strong customer relationships across operational and mid-level leadership
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and responsiveness

 

Commercial Management

  • Lead pricing, quoting, and commercial negotiations in alignment with business objectives
  • Support contract management and ensure adherence to agreed commercial terms
  • Act as the first point of escalation for customer issues and coordinate internal resolution

 

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Work across sites, operations, supply chain, engineering, and finance to deliver customer commitments
  • Ensure alignment between customer expectations and site execution
  • Drive accountability across the organization despite no direct reporting authority

 

Execution & Performance

  • Monitor account performance, including revenue, margin, delivery, and quality
  • Identify risks and opportunities, and drive corrective actions
  • Maintain pipeline visibility and support conversion of opportunities into revenue

Desirable Skills and Experience

  • Strong commercial acumen, with experience in pricing, quotations, contract terms, negotiations, margin management, and revenue growth.
  • 5+ years of experience in strategic account management, commercial management, business development, program management, or a related customer-facing role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience within electronics manufacturing services (EMS), electronics, aerospace & defense, industrial, medical, or another complex/regulated manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience managing significant customer accounts and developing long-term, strategic customer relationships.
  • Proven ability to identify and develop growth opportunities within existing customer accounts, including expansion of current programs and introduction of new products or services.
  • Ability to interpret account and business performance data, including revenue, margin, pipeline, delivery, quality, and other key performance indicators, and translate insights into action.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to manage customer escalations and coordinate timely cross-functional resolution.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-management skills, with the ability to interact effectively with customers and internal stakeholders at multiple organizational levels.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, global environment with changing priorities and a high degree of accountability.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications; experience with ERP and business intelligence/reporting tools preferred.
  • Ability and willingness to travel regularly to customer and TT Electronics locations as required.

 

This position requires use of information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), which means that limitations relating to nationality may apply.


Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States.  Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.  Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

 

  • Salary Range: $97,240 - $145,860 plus annual bonus
